It’s another one of those bucket list things to experience as a photographer and be able to photograph one of the wonders of nature. So, not being one to pass up on the opportunity, I was very excited to head into the darkness in search of the aurora.
Being in the planning for well over 12 months, expectations were high for this trip around the North coast of Scotland. It’s the first time we had visited the most northerly parts of the country so had spent a lot of time planning our route, stop overs and places to see.
The old water mill in Borrowdale, also known as Coombe Gill Mill, is a hidden gem in the Lake District not too far from Keswick. A lot of landscape photographers refer to it as the “secret” water mill and it has been on my list of places to visit for quite some time.
We recently had a city break in Amsterdam. It was our first time visiting this beautiful city and despite the climate being just as unpredictable as that in the UK, we had a great week being tourists and visiting some of the must do places.
After years of being on my hit list, I finally made it to Ladybower reservoir in the Peak District last week to see the famous “plugholes” in full flow, following the recent bout of wet weather.
